Welcome to Blographia Literaria! This is a revived version of a lit-blog I maintained in the late oughts/early teens. Lit-blogging at its best tried to push literary culture to be more adventurous and more diverse, while producing serious writing about what fiction was and what it could be.

Those are the aspirations I have for the writing I’ll do here: while mostly responding to the reading I happen to be doing, I also hope to think about larger trends or patterns in contemporary fiction and to provide some literary historical context by engaging with the classics, forgotten and familiar.
